AVIANCE Announces Reseller Agreement with Nuance for its Central Learning® Application
Coding assessment application measures coder accuracy and derives focused improvement opportunities for U.S. hospitals and health systems
ALLENTOWN, Pa.—December 12, 2017— AVIANCE Suite, a health information technology company for hospitals and health systems, proudly announces the signing of a reseller agreement with Nuance Communications, Inc.. Under the agreement, Nuance will resell Central Learning®, a web-based coding assessment and education application as part of its audit and education solutions. Central learning is part of AVIANCE’s Suite of health information and revenue cycle technology solutions for healthcare organizations.
“Coding accuracy in ICD-10 remains a difficult metric to evaluate and quantify for most organizations, even after 18 months under the new coding nomenclature,” said AVIANCE
Founder and CEO Manny Peña. “By proactively assessing coder knowledge and providing code rationale, facilities quickly identify recurring mistakes and prevent coding errors from multiplying over time.”
Central Learning automates the assessment of coder performance for ICD-10, CPT, and Evaluation and Management coding nomenclatures. Central Learning is designed to help coders do it right the first time to minimize denials and ensure clean claim submission.
“New reimbursement models and regulations have made coding accuracy and completeness more critical than ever,” said Michael Loyd, general manager, coding and quality solutions at Nuance. “Combining Central Learning with our audit services for assessments and education will help improve coder accuracy, and increase hospital revenue. Through this reseller agreement, healthcare facilities will have the ability to quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively assess coder proficiency and identify the most important opportunities for coder improvement.”
